  So if you've seen the activated charcoal latte floating around Columbus, this is the place to get it. It's been on my list of things to do for a very long time. I mean the color just makes you curious and the latte art is gorgeous so why not...I finally decided to stop here and see what mmelo is all about.
  
  Unfortunately once I parked  I had no clue where the door was. Fyi Is not by the sign. You have to walk into another building and they're the 1st thing in the lobby. Once I found it I saw a sign saying they were closed. As I pulled on the door anyway someone actually pushed it open. It was one of the owners. He explained that their espresso machine went down and he had just returned with a new one. (Impressive they replaced it immediately) well it was my lucky day bc he invited me in. He explained it would be a minute as he tested out the new machine and re calibrated it. As he worked, he explained the menu and all of their offerings to me. I was in no rush and enjoyed hearing about everything.
  
  However I knew I was here for the Charcoal Honey latte. I ordered it and the wait began. Once I got it I went to pay and was told it's on the house....wow. What an amazing place. Truly nice and friendly people.  Now about the latte...holy cow. It might just be the best latte I've ever had. Very smooth, not overly sweet but insanely flavorful. I'm not sure if activated charcoal has a taste but I couldn't taste it at all. Was just like any other latte but x 1000 on taste. This place is wonderful,  I can't wait to go back and try some of their chocolates and other drinks.

  From the time I walked in until finishing all of the delicious items I chose, it felt like home. The staff is extremely friendly, he took the time to walk me through every item that they had on display and was great at answering any questions I may have had!
  I ordered a brown butter and caramelized banana tea cake and a block of bark from the confections side. The bark was simple and well done it was dark chocolate and had dried fruit and florals, I would order this again if I wanted something quick and on the go. The brown sugar tea cake was delicious and as I ate it I thought it was absolutely the best until I tried the caramelized banana tea cake. The caramelized banana tea cake straight up blew me away, it was easily one of the best confections I have ever had!
  For drinks my guest ordered the dirty chai, it was very good and much smoother than some of the chais that I have come across. I ordered the charcoal lavender latte to try something unique and new to me. When you first receive it you will be a little thrown off by it being black but trust me, you will want to drink it! The charcoal was very subtle and went well with the lavender! It's something I would order again!
  Overall, amazing experience, a hidden gem inside the city of Columbus!

  I came here with a few friends on a Thursday around 11:30. It never got that busy as a few people came in and out.
  
  They do have gluten free, vegan, and keto pastries. I didn't try any but would like to next time.
  
  I got the ever popular charcoal honey lavender latte with almond milk. It was unique but very delicious. It's a little bit gritty with the charcoal but not unpleasant.
  
  My friend got a hazelnut latte which wasn't overly sweet but pretty tasty.
  
  My other friend got the honey lavender latte which she also enjoyed!
  
  They have four alternative milk options: coconut, soy, sweetened almond, and unsweetened vanilla almond.
  
  The barista was really nice and easy to talk to. He was smiley and seems to love working there!
  
  The space isn't super huge but there are a handful of tables and some seats by the window. There's lots of natural light and plants that were pleasing to look at. The color scheme is white with neutral tones. It's very pretty in there!

  I haven't been to this brick and mortar store in Columbus but I went to their pop up shop at Easton awhile back and had some amazing VEGAN chocolate with edible flowers. The chocolate bar was honestly just beautiful and would make amazing gifts. I have added this location to my favorites and hope to visit MMELO again!

  A must!  Delicately and uniquely flavored coffees and candies are amazing. Their sign says it best:  please eat the art. Exquisite.
